The Glenlivet Scotch Whisky, Single Malt

Bottled and released in small batches with no chill-filtration . Finished in heavily peated whisky casks. bottled at cast strength. The Glenlivet distillery Estd 1824. peated whisky cask finish single malt scotch whisky. George & J.G Smith. The smooth flowing one distilled in the Livet valley Estd 1824. Nadurra in Gaelic means natural. Using traditional 19th century methods, it is bottled at natural cask strength and released in small batches . Unlike most modern whiskies , it has not been chill-filtered, resulting in greater body and a distinctively creamy texture and mount fell: delivering all the properties you'd expect from a whisky that has just been drawn straight from the cast. Nadurra peated whisky cask finish draws its inspiration from the historic traditions of whisky making at the glenlivet, where peat smoke was originally used to dry the malted barley, this unique addition to the glenlivet range is finished in casks which have previously held heavily peated scotch whisky, the peated casks enrich the mature whisky with gentle, aromatic smoky notes which complement the smooth fruitiness that has made the glenlivet so famous. This edition of nadurra captures the original passion behind George Smith'd distillery and continues the highly skilful traditions of whisky making, revisiting the flavours and aromas from a by gone era of the glenlivet. Tasting Notes: Colour: Amber gold. Nose: A burst of soft red apples, citrus zest and aromatic smoke. Palate: Rich tangy marmalade, creamy vanilla toffee and a distinct toasted smokiness. Finish: Complex, lengthy and spicy, with a layer of subtle smoke. You may detect a slight haze when adding water or ice; this is a natural reaction due to the omission of chill-filtration. Gaelic Definition [Na-durra] natural. www.theglenlivet.com. 61.5% alc/vol. 123 Product of Scotland.
