Carlisle is in the county of Cumbria, home of the Lake District National Park. Utilising soft Cumbrian water, local wheat flour, and traditional brick ovens, the business thrived and even was granted a Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria in 1841. Our crackers are still baked today in the proud tradition established by Jonathan Carr almost two centuries ago.
